Below are some frequently asked questions and answers. These should answer a few of the queries you may have about working in a Real Estate Agency with fantastic ethics and beliefs.

Q. What are the pre-requisites for a sales position with Alice Street Real Estate?
A. There are six main requisites for a sales position with our company:
*     Must have had personal experience in the buying and/or selling of real estate;
*     Preferably not had any prior experience in real estate sales;
*     Excellent communication and people skills;
*     A strong desire to succeed;
*     Have a stable background;
*     Must be goal orientated.

Q. Many people who would be suitable for a career in real estate do not enter the industry because of the usual 'commission only' pay structure. What is your pay structure?
A. Unlike most other agencies, we offer a guaranteed income of $52,000 p.a. plus $3,000 p.a. training allowance and generous bonuses. There is no income ceiling, your dedication and results will dictate what you earn.

Q. Some people are put off a career in real estate because of the reputation of the industry and of real estate salespeople in particular. Are you any different?
A. Most definitely. The training organisation we utilise to train our staff are huge on ethics. Everything we do has been looked at in the context not of what is legal, that is what we can do and get away with, but rather from whether or not our buyers, sellers and others will be hurt by what we do. If there is a likelihood that people will be at risk by our actions, we won't perform those actions.

Q. What training or qualifications are necessary?
A. Like all those entering the Real Estate industry, you will need to have completed the relevant modules through a registered training organisation. There are many training organisations that offer this service and their costs all vary.

Q. What training do you have and how much does it cost?
A. Our training both before a person joins us and also after, is of a very high standard and is designed to bring a salesperson to their full potential as quickly as possible. Apart from your time, there is no charge for our training.

Q. How long does it take to join Alice Street Real Estate as a salesperson?
A. It largely depends on the person. From the time somebody contacts us to the time when they could join us is normally three months.

Q. How do I go about applying for a position with Alice Street Real Estate?
A. In the first instance, contact Chelsea (07 4123 2311) from Tuesday to Friday between the hours of 10:00am - noon or 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
